The software allows the user to save time by converting all architectural entities as lines and polylines present in the .dwg files to relative thermal components.
It is also possible to use a raster image as a background of the drawing even if the architectural plans .dwg files are not available. The building entities can also be drawn using simple commands provided by Mc4Suite.
The program uses a room-by-room analysis for sizing HVAC equipment. The program will size boilers, heat pumps, chillers and all air handling units (AHU) inserted into the project. The thermal and psychrometric properties of the air which meet the internal design conditions are displayed for every AHU. A zone-by-zone analysis is also available.
Energy Plus Energy Plus is a building energy simulation program developed by jointly by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the University of Illinois, the US Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory, GARD Analytics, Inc., Oklahoma State University with support from US DOE. It includes one of most powerful dynamic calculation engines present in today’s market. The graphical components created by Mc4Suite allow for easy input and user interface that adhere to the EnergyPlus requirements.
